Hope so! I am just wondering how people (my sister and others) run that fast for a half marathon distance. But then again - 6 months ago I was wondering how people could run for 30 minutes
Thank you Poppypug! It is funny how I keep amazing myself Of course there are difficult runs, but then I just chose to be amazed that I actually carry through and keep going
Thank you Mollydex. It was hard though. Wobbly legs afterwards. Now my brain is swimming in endorphin - that is where that willpower comes from. Pure chemistry
Yes Hilary, your first 5k was much like mine - and though I am a few years younger than you (I'm 45), I believe we can both go sub30. Just keep up the good work.
What great leaps forward. The improvement in your times is impressive. While I don't feel that I can make such dramatic improvement it does inspire me to keep going and how I should be going about it.
Thank you. I think my trick generally is a running club with a great trainer who provides great variation. And yesterday - an experienced runner who kept me company and talked me through the tough parts๐
That's great progress Iben. You will possibly have more success if you don't try to get below 30 mins on every run. Maybe have a record breaking run attempt once a fortnight or once a month, with intervening runs less pressured on the speed front and of course continuing to build your distance.
31.13 wow! That sub 30 is going to suddenly pop out of nowhere Iben and you'll be grinning from ear to ear. I love your commitment. I don't think there can be many things you wouldn't achieve once you've decided to go for it.
