I did my first trip without Laura after work Thursday evening. It was hard but I made it and felt really good afterwards. When I say hard I mean HARD, Laura's encouragement was so important and hearing her time updates really useful. I felt more like giving up than I have for a long time but the music had to go. Not that it was all bad just most of it. Onward and upwards alone.
And I was pleased to find out that Laura is a genuine C25K graduate herself and wasn't used just because she has a nice clear voice

She is lovely. She does the c25k+ stepping stones podcasts and the strength and Flex ones. You can see her on nhs livewell site talking about c25k and the little film doing the strength and Flex moves out and about. Well worth a look
If you have ditched the music you won't hear the famous ear worm song "Julie", which would be a shame 😊
Unfortunately not. Yesterday was the first time without Laura and I suffered with Julie 1 extra time after graduation then could take her no more- 7 times was more than enough!
I love Laura... I still take her with me occasionally...as misswobble says, the C25K + podcasts are great too and her film is excellent for strength and flex..
You used to get that with the app (which was a bit flakier technically) Now you get a choice of celebrity and the option to have Laura has been removed. Which I think says a lot about our culture, not that I have any objection to the particular individuals used (the ones I recognise the names of that is!). For all I know they have all been non-runners who have done the NHS C25K programme themselves like Laura (who did Laura have????)
In my view, choosing your own music removes a whole layer of the C25K experience. You have the rest of your life to choose your own listening.
The podcast accidentally came through on my car radio the other morning on my way home from the school run (instead of Gardener's Question Time, Infinite Monkey Cage, BBC Ouch disability etc) I almost burst into tears with nostalgia.
