Hi, started C25K 3 weeks ago. Haha i've slightly improved, my breathing is easier now. Not a medical issue, just couldn't coordinate it ! In my head i'm breezing along, with the sometimes dire music ... anyone else noticed how it seems to build, as if it's nearly over, and then it dies down a bit, torment !! Anyone watching me, would see a strange shuffling lady !! Anyhow from day one my shins hurt, then my knees on week 2. I pushed on, but after run 3 it was too painful. I took a week off, and they didn't improve with all the usual treatments. However my son told me to get a hockey ball, lay down on floor, and put it in various pressure points underneath me. He thought it was my patella tendon ... i can't believe the relief after doing it once. So i'm now ready for week 3, I was honestly disappointed i couldn't run, fearing my knees were knackered. Stick at it as you get fitter as you progress and the niggles will go. Just go nice and steady. We all shuffle for a while but you won't really start picking your feet up til you get stronger and fitter. It's marvellous when you do start to resemble a running motion ☺

Smart son! Glad you found relief so you can get back to business.

I used a ball as well for a pain in the butt, that was making it difficult to walk and had been bothering me a lot. Balls and foam rollers work wonders. Good luck ! You'll get there.
