Today would typically be a rest day but since I last ran on Thursday I felt solid to run today. For some crazy reason I wanted to go for a run today, go figure.lol The weather this morning was 54degrees outside with a pretty strong head wind which worried me a bit at the start. I decided to go it without Laura and just use some of my own music. I really enjoyed it. I placed inspiring songs on my playlist at strategic parts in my run so that they would push me on. I finished my 5k in 44minutes which I'm happy with at this time. Its CRAZY to me to think of how far I ran today and continuously. Never did I even think this was possible and here I am proving that wrong. Now my goal is to improve my 5k time before I move on to any further distance. I would imagine as my legs get stronger this will come slowly. I really enjoyed my 'graduation' gift to myself yesterday. I had a wonderful facial. I wish I could afford to do one of those weekly, it's so relaxing. Up until this point I have been using my husband's Garmin to track my progress but i'm thinking of investing in a watch for myself. His watch is an older version but it's so heavy and the display is really hard for me to see with my aging eyes. I was looking into TomTom Runners because of the larger display. Does anyone here have one? What do you think of it? I really just want a pretty basic tracker..distance, pace, time is about all I think I need at this stage of my running. I don't plan on doing races or marathons at this time so I prefer something a little simpler.
