Week 9 Run 1 still not happening but its OK :-)

Tried run 1 again this morning after unsuccessfully trying on Sat and only managing 12 minutes. Today got to 17 and stopped again! It was pretty warm but still just seem to be physically and mentally and bit tired so am just going to be satisfied with that, have another couple of rest days and try to start my week 9 again on Friday. Feel happy to have done something though :-)

  • Well done Beelady - it was stupid hot out there today - I ran and had to do an interval run as it was just too much.....Friday looks a bit cooler - take a break - you know you can do this - just rest up a couple of days, wait for some cooler weather and go again - I cannot wait for you to graduate - it's going to be a great celebration ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ‘ With you all the way ๐Ÿ˜€๐ŸƒHaha! Can you imagine running 17 minutes a few months ago? It's still a triumph!!

  • Hello Beelady, you have really done well to get out into that heat and an amazing 17 mins practice run, brilliant! The heat is so draining!

    I am on wk 9 this week too but I am not as brave as you and am planning to run either cooler days or maybe VERY early in the day. I'm watching that weather report very closely! Luckily I ran R1 yesterday before this latest wave of scorchio.

    You are ready for this so dont let this new heat wave make you doubt yourself.

    When you graduate in the next week or so you will be so proud of yourself and rightly so! Hope you have something nice in mind for your celebration๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ…

  • It's not how MANY times you try that's important - it's what the result of the LAST attempt is ;) I have a feeling you are going to keep trying until the desired result occurs BeeLady :) It's the heart of the programme - we go out and push and push and push no matter what stage we are at, Graduate or not. THAT is the difference between a Couch Potato and a Runner ultimately :)
