So I set off today for my first run of week 9 and i failed miserably. Before my run I was sneezing and blocked up to the high heavens and that's what stopped me completing the entire run. Got about ten minutes into it and had to stop, couldn't breathe at all. Nose was completely blocked and I could barely swallow to try gulp down some air.
So yeah bit disheartened but not too worry I'll just try again tomorrow morning and hopefully I feel better and its not a cold/flu or anything.

If you cant breathe you cant run angelina so dont beat yourself up or use the "F" word! When you are feeling better give it another go and you will be fine; you have got this far so just another few runs to go and then you will be a graduate!
Don't be down, my first failed run was week 7 run 2, so you have done better than me. Be proud of the fact you have got to week 9 run 1. Rest and when you feel better try again, you will have your badge before you know it
Angelinaby I was the same today. Did more nose blowing and coughing up than ever before. What I did to settle the breathing, which was the main problem, was reduce my pace, got the breathing right, then gradually increased to normal level. Try it tomorrow and I know you will complete the run. All about pacing yourself and listening to your body.
I know the feeling. I failed my wk9r1 miserably and I didn't have a cold. I did have jet lag from an overnight flight back from the US and was carrying a slight injury from overdoing it the week before. I didn't even manage 3 minutes before I had to stop but I rested for a few days and bulked up on carbs and tried again and nailed it. Doing my graduation run Tuesday. Put it behind you, recover properly and when mentally and physically ready go for it.
Well i set off the next day determined to do it and i did only problem was 5mins into the run I needed to pee, now ive never need to pee so badly in all my life. Was so bad i was seriously considering jumping into the field I was running next to :p.
