Have you used it much after the first month or so and is it loud - can you watch a DVD while cycling? I'm thinking of getting one but not sure if we'd really use it regularly and whether it would get boring very quickly. Any thoughts, experiences or recommendations would be very welcome

Yes me ! Its a beast n'all I got it from Ebay.
I don't use it all the time , in fact at the moment it is used as somewhere to hang the dogs collars and leads and my bum bag off , but I hop on it now and again whilst wearing a yellow jersey and pretending to be Chris Froome
Its got a timer, showing distance, speed , calorie burn and has over 6 different programmes. I always plug my tunes in as it can be boring . Mine is quite loud, but if Ive got my music on, it tends to fade into the background. I wouldn't want to part with mine, its great just as a addition to running xxxx
Thanks poppy. I'll have to go into a shop and compare some but I think the simpler the better for me really. I'd like to use it when the others are asleep though so would need to be quite quiet. I tried a friend's once and that was really loud. I expect they have to make a certain amount of noise though. Where do you keep it?
I keep mine in the hallway , I live in a one bedroom flat and theres hardly any room to swing a cat !
It has a fan in one of the wheels so it is quite loud tbh
Mines a Tinturi make , it cost about £400 brand new but I got it on Ebay for £30 xxx
I had one which I didn't use much was getting enough exercise and gave it to a friend. it was useful. This one was just a basic saddle on a frame with pedals bought from TV shopping channel I think called "Ideal". Think I t cost about £120 ?
Obviously It meant you sat higher than your average table but was able to set up frame to sit whilst using computer etc.
It was useful because it was "hands free" you could watch TV , DVD or read or use computer at same time.
Have a look around also on the internet there may be better versions. May be some with detachable supports for little table or something perhaps. Had to do a bit of self assembly with it. Just for pedalling without any Gizmos I found it OK.
This is definitely my last comment. It also had 8 different resistance levels.
I've got one aswell and used it a lot in the past. It is loud though and that's partly the reason it's not being used at the moment. Watched DVDs when on it, or music, otherwise it really does get a bit boring. At the moment I would prefer to be out - another reason it's not being used!
