Quest aided by deep thought of "Tiggers" "Baggy Pants" and "Knobbly Knees"

Good run today despite having worries at start with as others say those pesky "Gremlins". Didn't do my regular Friday run so 3 days rest. Started thinking to myself "Perhaps that extra day without running will totally wreck me today" .

But no run went great. Early out about 8 this morning. Not too warm. Dew still on the grass. Sun just coming over the trees glistening on the lake. Did first lap(740 metres) in just under 5 minutes. First time ever 1st lap under 5 minutes usually just over. Rest of laps all under 5 minutes and steady pace.

Over half way through mind starts drifting thinking about those who post on here .Getting new gear perhaps run in shorts and challenge Irish-John (who posts regularly) to Knobbly knees competition !

I was really bouncing along and mind drifted to someone posting about hippos and gazelles . I didn't think about Gazelles , Was having a sort out of stuff at home and found daughter's "Tigger" from Winnie the pooh. Started humming to myself "The wonderful thing about tiggers is the're bouncy bouncy bouncy"

I'm near end of my 7th Lap still feeling like "Tigger" and went on to do another half a lap and take photo of lake. Run in total 35and half minutes and now at 5K mark down to 32 minutes from 33 minutes a few weeks ago.

Well onto way of completing quest. Started out apprehensive then finished saying that was great will a smile on my face as I stood and gazed over the lake.

Beautiful picture. Now let's see those knees!

Thanks for all your lovely posts. Lots of requests for shorts or Lycra.

Whichever it is you could be disappointed. Shame that in the middle of Birmingham can never find anyone to take a photo at end of run.
