Out at 5 am to dark skies partly due to the fact that the street lights in the village are turned off at 00.30 started off with 5 minute warm up two minutes in and the street lights start up 5 minutes up and its into 90 secs jog seems so short compared to week 9 anyway carry on and 90 secs walk done we are round the corner for the first 3 minute stretch and feeling reasonably comfortable still taking it carefully but definitely going faster breathing easier as well turned short today to reduced stress on knee as on the old route have to go through a type of kissing gate but went down the alleyway kept going if memory served me I've nearly finished and there you go job done 3 minute cool down and finished covered 3.03 km and the time was 26 min 24 secs. Going to carry on with week 4 on friday and see how the week goes as to whether i carry on or move up to week 7.

I'm going to have to remember to go slow soon as I am quicker this time round and don't want to undo what I have done so far.

I think you're bound to be quicker this time around. I've just done week 1 to see how it compared to the first time. I felt like Usain Bolt!

It is a sure sign that the fitness levels have gone up the later ones will test the stamina and endurance

Glad it seems to be going well. You are very wise to take it gently.

I too hope to be slipping off the IC this weekend and easing myself back in - fingers crossed!

Sounds as if you are making real progress on your comeback trail. Well done and don't do too much too quickly. This is not a race!

How true if I get this wrong could really do some harm and I don't want that

It was just need a head torch as I forgot how dark the village is without the street lights fortunately though I am not overly bothered by the dark

Glad to hear our early bird is out and about - taking it steadily - good 👍🏼

Ooh, going to be exciting in the dark...... I think...... Nights and mornings fair drawing in!

It is definitely different running without the street lights but the old part of the village doesn't have many it is only the new parts that do so you don't really notice it but will make it interesting if it gets icy but will deal with that when it happens
