Well that was a slight miracle... Thanks Michael Johnson.. I'll do my 5 minutes.. Then 90 secs run then 90 secs walk and then run for 3 minutes... Er u say what Mike???.. 3 minutes.... U r expecting too much of me Mike but as its u i'll give it a go.... Well ive only gone and done 2 runs of 3 minutes... Glad no one was about as after i did the 2nd one i punched the air and did a little jump of joy!!!.... Onto the next run on Tuesday..... One quick question though my right calf and thigh are a little tight are there any stretches i should do before and after and also any suggestions of what to do on rest days?? Enjoy your weekend everyone...

Great job... there will be other “miracles” coming in the next few weeks, enjoy!

Rest days... anything but the couch or high impact (both feet off the ground repetitively) stuff. NHS strength and flex is a good place to start nhs.uk/live-well/exercise/s...

Try not to sit for long periods... get up and walk a little every hour or so.

Post run stretches: nhs.uk/live-well/exercise/h...

Pre run stretches aren’t really necessary and the above ones are to be avoided as they can do damage to cold muscles. You’ll find lots of videos on YouTube, these stretches mimic the movements you’ll be asking from your muscles in the run but crucially there’s no holding in position like the post run (static) ones.
