Personal best today not expected or planned. 34 and half minutes and nearly 6K (but may need to do some planks!)

Did my regular run today (Do Wednesday, Friday, Sunday) . do six laps of local lake (about 800 metres circumference). did my 6 laps which is near enough 5K or may be a fraction over. Have run 32 minutes for a couple of runs

My 32 minutes took me to almost half a lap round and I thought to myself " Why bother to walk half a lap , might as well run the rest of the lap" so I was still feeling OK so did. Also all but 2 of laps were under 5 minutes. Was tempted to do another lap.

Just bowled over by the sudden leap in progress. Still long way to catch up with the "Mighty Mo" !

Although found other body parts starting to ache a bit hip and back slightly. Have read somewhere on site about "Core" exercise to help ?

Perhaps should do a few "Planks" on rest days ?

Couldn't find anyone to take photo at end of run (You may not believe this is middle of Birmingham). so here is one someone took on Sunday. That's me Mr "Baggy Pants". When weight stabilised will have to buy some new gear. Might need a new wardrobe. I have some old clothes from the 70's that may fit but might get mistaken for John Travolta (A la midnight fever). Might dig out my old School Cross Country running vest !

Good run! I think you should dig out the 70's gear but you have to post a photo. 😀

Nice place to run - no wouldn't have thought it was Birmingham 😀

Ah, that'll be one of the lovely parks in Brum - people never believe there are beautiful green spaces in our cities!

Thanks for the posts. It is Perry Park near Alexander Stadium Birmingham. Before the stadium was built it was a park with children's swings etc. And boating lake. Think the current lake was once the boating lake. Now it is just a park with Grass and the lake so not many visitors so is very tranquil. Handy for me which is short walk up canal, now with gravel path, to lake me to lake beside the canal.
