good for you we all started where you have π keep us posted
That is brilliant. That's the hardest run out of the way Just take it slow and steady and you'll soon be running for longer than you dreamed possible with all the benefits that come with it! Let us know how you get on with run 2...
Woohoo! Great way to begin - with a cheering section in place. Bonus is that you're a good role model for getting fit and trying new things
Hooray! Welcome to the programme which can be a real life changer. You won't regret it. Why not get your son to do it with you!
Good luck!
Well done ... hardest part is getting started, and you've done that so keep us posted and go you!
Good for you, Well done for getting started and just too let you know it gets better and better as you're achievements grow x
That's brilliant. The hardest run is definitely the first one ππ. Look forward to hearing your stories as you progress through this amazing program π
Many congratulations - looking forward to seeing your progress - it is hard but soooo worth it!
Well done. I have made it to week 7 (so far) and somebody asked if its getting easier. I am certainly not finding week 7 easy, but it made me stop and think back to week 1. It's amazing how taking that first step, and giving it a go has now progressed to running for 26 minutes non stop. As Laura would say "you've got this". You've taken the most important step by starting week one. I would be lying if I said it's easy, but keep at it and you will feel the rewards.
Hello and well done! Good luck with the next one.... :_)
Well done . Doing the C25k was one of the best decisions of my life. Love the feeling of achieving something I thought impossible. And getting leaner and fitter to boot !
Well done π We may run on our own here but we never run alone on this Forum - keep us posted, take it slow and steady, trust the programme and we will be saving you spot at the Graduation table βΊ
Welcome!! I started my first run on the day of the London Marathon for the same reason. The C25k programme is simply amazing, following it will change your life and be one of the best decisions you'll ever make. Well done for getting that first run done!
Top advice is go slow! Slow down until you feel like you can't possibly slow down any more and then slow down again! Take extra rest days (always at least one rest day between runs) if you need to and if you don't manage all the running intervals then try that run again next time. Stretch, listen to Laura, GO SLOWLY, take your rest days and before you know it you'll be running for 30 minutes!
