Well all ,have started my C25k , my fab husband has been supporting me to start , he kept saying you won’t need to run the 60 secs just do what you can. So I did , we are very lucky to have a treadmill , at my size I would never dream of going out, but it is a goal which I will look to.
Anyway I completed week 1 run/walk one. I am not sure about how Sanjeev and I will get on, I went through a mixed relationship throughout the session. Come on Sanjeev, my time must be up. This is from a lady who thinks stairs should only ever be used when the lift is out of order . Well I am very proud of myself , I know it is a tiny step but managed to take the plunge and even set my alert for my next walk/run. I’ve heard the forum is a lifesaver so I look forward to reading about everyone’s progress . Take care all.

Stick with it and very soon you will notice improvement in your recovery times.........this plan works.
If you can't complete a run then, repeat it after a rest day, until you do complete it, then move on.
We might have to work on the" lift rather than stairs" mindset, but you will soon find that waiting for a lift, rather than going upstairs two steps at a time, takes far too long.
Hi HW. I’m getting along nicely thanks. I finished week 8 in the summer (getting ready for our daughter’s wedding) but I failed to do Week 9. I started again a short while ago and am currently on W6R2. I’m so proud of my better half though. I told her about how supportive you lot are and she hasn’t been disappointed 😁
Yes I remember you posted a lovely picture of your daughters wedding. I graduated July and have been plodding away 3 times a week. So good to see you are back on track ; this time with your wife aside you. Enjoy👍
Well done for starting the c25k program and completing your first session.
Your hubby has probably mentioned that it helps to do some simple gentle leg stretches after your warm down walk while your muscles are still warm so that you don't feel so stiff next day.
A bit of walking on your rest day will help too...
Well done! You should be proud as punch with yourself! Good luck with the rest of the programme there will be highs and lows but you can definitely do this xx
