So I did my first run today 🥵 gotta say did not enjoy it in the end 😂 but I did feel energised and good with myself afterwards! Here’s to day two 👌🏻🏃🏼♀️
First Day!! : So I did my first run today... - Couch to 5K
First Day!!
Well done! 👍🏻👏🏻
Congratulations on starting C25K with run 1 of week 1 and welcome to the forum, some people say that run is the worst run of C25K, they get better from now on, remember that you can repeat any runs or week's if you wish to, keep to the program, no running on consecutive days as that could cause a injury, good luck, onwards and upwards to run 2 of week 1.
Glad to hear it does get better/easier! I will do this 😂
Can I ask how do you repeat weeks? I don’t need to atm but expect I shall at some point, do you just press the button for that run again?
It's up to you, if you are not satisfied with your running there is no harm in repeating a run or a whole week, many people do repeat the early runs or week's of C25K, there was a lady a couple of years ago who repeated week 1 9 times, week 2, 5 times and most of the other weeks at least 3 times and eventually graduated, she got a record number of congratulations after she graduated, a record which stood for a few years until recently when Buddy34 had around 10 more congratulations but that was for running a HM, not graduating from C25K, so that lady still holds the record for congratulations of C25K.
Well done!! It’s not very nice but it gets easier very quickly fair play x enjoy!
Welcome to the forum and well done getting started.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
and includes advice on pacing, minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.
Enjoy your journey.
I was the same on day one, I’ve just done my 5th run and it has got easier already. I’m on W2R2 now and can’t wait to do the next one. I was dreading each run for the first few times. Good luck and good vibes
Well done!
Nice one! You will grow to love it!! 🏃♂️👟
I’m on week two it’s unbelievable but truly I found it easier already, I found I wasn’t looking at the timer but concentrating on my posture, breathing, my feet, unfortunately it was painful lol, knees and hips, then I got a horrible tummy bug now almost a week later I think I can start back .
It is so helpful reading everyone else’s progress. Bring it on !!
Well done Demsj00, 👏🏻 you got up and got out there that’s the most important thing, it’s not easy at the beginning as it’s a shock to the system...but the feeling afterwards just can’t be beaten....stick with the programme it does work.
There’s loads of support encouragement and advice on this forum too....Good Luck with your journey 👍
Welcome 😊
Congratulations and welcome to this “club” - you have done the hardest bit (starting) and now enjoy that feeling of knowing you’re doing something amazing for your body! In just a few short weeks you, yes YOU, will be running for 30 minutes! It’s okay not to believe it, but trust me it will happen!
