Whilst I'm getting fed up with the injury couch now I get a buzz out of telling people it's a running injury!! How sad is that?

Sounds like the injury couch should be renamed the sympathy couch not that i'd get much at home but I am going to try a gentle restart tomorrow with W6R3 as the pain I experienced on Monday seems to have gone. How are you getting on at the moment

I must have missed something - I shall go back and check, anyway glad it's better and take it slowly! It's a lot better thanks, but still mega achey and whilst I can weight bear I can't go very fast. Hey-ho, at least I don't have to worry about it and going to work - that would be a lot harder. Thanks for the info about the ice spray btw. Now to put the tubi-grip on (I don't get a lot of sympathy at home either!).

The sprays great the one I've got is the Deep Heat Freeze and too much makes you feel high so you forget the pain and enjoy the relief at the same time

I've got a much more sedate one. I feel a trip to Lloyds coming on!!

That has made me laugh. Hope you are getting better.

Thank you. Definitely on the way, but not as quick as I'd like. I never EVER thought I would get to a place where I missed exercise, can't even walk properly!!

Haha! I so identify with that!

Trying to be really really patient this time.

No longer painful when walking so I'm starting to do heel raises and dips to strengthen it a bit.

Determined to give it 2 full weeks before trying this time as it was definitely worse after I rushed out after a week last time😕

How's things, Ullyrunner ? I'm following your lead and giving it a minimum of two weeks. I never ever thought I'd wake up disappointed that I couldn't go for a run!!

It's feeling okay when walking and I did most of a Pilates class on Monday without ill effect. No attempt to run yet and I may have a longer lay off as I now have a frozen shoulder which is very painful. "Sigh"

Definitely coming apart at the seams 😟

I hope things are improving for you?

Oh no...! I've started walking further without limping, although it's still painful so I'm resigned to another week or so. Hope your shoulder settles soon - it never rains but it pours.

pollyp1 and Ullyrunner , hope it isn't too much longer before youre back out there again . Very frustrating being on the couch isn't it ?

Its a shame Laura hasn't done a podcast on " Surviving the IC " We know we have to be patient and these things take time but it certainly doesn't make things any easier ! :-) xxx

Thanks Pops - only plus side is more time to spend on 'vicarious running' with other forum members!
