Week 2 day2 and I messed up. Somehow I managed to miss the app trainer telling me to start running then when I thought she said run it was on the walking part so I ended up running for 2 minutes and thinking this 90 seconds is long today .I couldn't seem to put myself right and when I tried to rewind it back I ended up back at the beginning .so off with the headphones and I tried to just do it without the app. I know I didn't do enough because I didn't feel it like I did on Sunday. So I'm going to redo today and change the app to a louder voice .
I need a louder app: Week 2 day2 and I messed up... - Couch to 5K
I need a louder app
i had a run like that the other day.. my old app wouldn't load, so downloaded another, they didnt tell me to run on my first run, not sure why and then part way round my headset battery died, and wouldn't then play through the loudspeaker.. was fuming at the end but run the next day instead and just repeated it.. all good. but definitely couldn't have planned it to go any worse than it did!!
Tech😡 I appreciate your frustration and I always feel like it only happens to me. No amount of swearing actually helps but it doesn't stop me😱 Hope your next run goes better 😀
I think we all have days when the tech. will not play nicely, do not feel alone! 😡🙃🙃🙃🙃😡 grumpiness is allowed!
Look forward to hearing about your next run.
I use my watch as a backup for the interval timing. I haven't missed a beat since
I had all kinds of problems with the app on my android phone. Now i just download the podcast for each run from the website onto my pc and transfer it to my phones music player using a usb cable.
Its an mp3 file. (Download the file, right click it and click' extract all' otherwise it won't work.) When you extract the file it will ask where you want to save it i click browse and save it to my desktop to find it easily) Then when 'ive completed each run i delete the file and download the next one. Hope this helps!
Not to worry, at least you were out there rather than at home on the sofa!
I've heard a lot of people have had trouble with the app. Why not try the podcast? Laura is great and always seemed to pipe up with encouragement just as I was beginning to falter a little. Some people don't love the music but it's specially set up for the right tempo for the run and walk intervals. You'll be able to understand all of the podcast references on the forum and meet Julie later on in the programme
Haven't used the app, but would not be where I am today without Laura and the podcasts. Without fail Laura would be ready to say "you're probably feeling a bit tired now, but you've come so far I don't want you to exhaust yourself" when I felt like giving up and I would dig deeper. With the podcasts you basically trust in the programme and do what you're told. Don't think, just do! Definitely recommend it.
Thanks everyone .lots of good ideas. I'm going to sort something out tomorrow so that it doesn't happen again.
I know that feeling, I have been known to literally jump up and down with frustration! Once I wanted to smash my phone and chuck it in a ditch! yes, try the podcasts, very reliable xx
And another voice in favour of the podcasts... they are the original after all (not the original C25K but the original NHS version)
Thanks for the help and advice everyone . I downloaded the podcasts last night and will use it tomorrow . Thanks 🏃
