Hi everyone. I am new to running and completed week 1 of couch 2 5k on Friday.i done day 1 of week 2 yesterday and have really surprised myself that i could do it. I admit it's really hard but I keep on pushing myself. I'm 51 and thought I was too old to start running .I go to a local running track which is great. I'm doing this to help me to lose weight and get fit .

Hello and welcome. Well done for getting started, that is the hardest part as for too old I'm 53 & there are plenty of others who are older. You will find this forum a great place for support and advice. The best bit of advice that I've had is if it is tough slow down then slow down some more! Keep us up to date with how you are getting on. Happy running
RunningGeek has it spot on. You will find all the support you need here but listen to your body and take it as slowly as you need. As for age Phhh! I'm 57 and I'm not the oldest either!! Trust in the program and be prepared to amaze yourself. Welcome!
