The devil at my shoulder...

kicked its ass this morning! I was struggling so much to get up and get out there - then I posted on here and had three lovely replies, at which point I stopped looking for excuses NOT to do it...and DID IT!

Of course I'd left it till it is getting warmer outside, so I was an unbecoming shade of magenta by the time I got in...but here I am showered, snacking on melon and feeling quietly pleased that with a little help from my friends (here...take a bow people!!) I overcame the feeling sorry for myself and completed week 2 run 2.

Helped a bit that I visualised the four Musketeers as my running mates (be still my beating heart..lol!!) Tom Burke was especially encouraging! ;-)

So glad that I found this forum - without you guys I wouldn't have gone out today.

thank you (((xxx)))

Well done, the sense of satisfaction is ten times greater than the level of determination before going out! We are all in it together 😀

See? Go you! Not easy is it - but even though it doesn't get easier, you get more 'able'. Reach round and pat yourself on the back, you cracked a mental block as well as the run. Enjoy your melon. Enjoy your weekend. And enjoy run 3. Congratulations! :)

Yeah go you!! Well done; I bet you feel so good now?!

I actually have just read your first post this morning.

What other posters said is absolutely true; this really is z fantastic program. I know lots of others say it but really if I can do it anyone can.

I was 6 stone overweight when I started and have now lost 21lb through a combination of this program and eating healthily. I made the decision when I started this program to eat healthily as I couldn't see me being able to run with my old crappy diet.

Good luck in your journey, please don't give up and keep posting here for lots of words of encouragement and support X

Well done you! That's what this forum is for!! It's just brilliant, the best people on the internet. I wouldn't have got through the programme without them. This programme is amazing. You will soon be loving running and running for 30 minutes!! Yes, you will!!

Keep us updated with your runs :)

So, so proud of you.. very well done.

We give the support and we take the support, but it is not easy.. for any of us... you did well :)

I am loving the shade of magenta... most of us plump for beetroot... I am, so, going to be magenta from now on.. :)

Love the Musketeers too.... Someone on here posted... "run like the devil is after you and there is a really hot man in front of you"..or something like that! :) Usually the only hot thing is me.. and I do mean in the temperature stakes!

Brilliant... on you go :)

I think the really hot man in front of me would not be impressed if I managed to catch up with him. A gasping, slightly overweight, middle-aged, magenta-faced woman tapping him on the shoulder would send him off even faster. Mind you we might both improve our times😈

Every cloud..😏

I have seen a few chaps..but they don't run in the fields..and are very fast anyway..not sure if they are hot...or not...😏
