I Feel Good, I Knew that I Would, Now. I Feel Nice, Like Sugar and Spice, Now!

Back in the game, and going to do it properly this time. Two weeks proper rest for the knee had somehow morphed into nearly three and I think I was getting jittery about trying again. Anyway, while sitting on the sofa picking grass seeds out of the dog's coat was soothing, I realised it wasn't really getting me anywhere. So I laced up. I knew my real problem had been this constant need to push on with distance, time. How many times I have used The Tortoise and the Hare and The Wind and the Sun as assembly stories I have lost count. Guess it translates as " do as I say, not as I do, children" (aka hypocrisy). Anyway, not to blather on, in my new, proper Growth Mindset, these things happened. I did not look at Fitbit before starting. I stopped after 20 mins even tho felt fine (used actual watch to time). I did not take glasses so could not look at Fitbit on finishing. And it feeeeeels good!

Great to hear. It's good to push yourself, but equally important to progress thoughtfully and give yourself a break from time to time.

Can see from notifications that some people have replied to me but cannot see them on this page. Don't know whether I have done something techie wrong or what. Anyway please forgive if I haven't acknowledged your response. Isn't that I am being rude!

Sounds like a nice way to get back into it. I do love all the stats but can imagine it's nice to leave them behind occasionally and just run to run :)

Yes, I was just too hung up on stats too soon. Now plan to ease off that for a while at least and just enjoy the act of running!
