Well I welcomed week 7 with the usual time of 4:50 am got my kit together and stepped out the door to try a new route for a new week started off with the usual 5 minute walk and then we are off on a 25 minute run feeling reasonably comfortable manged the gentle inclines a lot better than I ever did on my bike passed my house on the first lap still got 10 minutes to go Laura's says if you feel like try and increase the tempo did that round the corner of my road and message comes over well done you have finished. I had used map my run for the first time and apparently I covered 5.13 Km which included the 5 min warm up 25 min run and 5 min cool down. I must admit I was surprised at the distance as it didn't feel that far but amazed that I had done it. Wednesday can't come quick enough but will have to keep an eye on the temperature so could be another early start.

Thanks it is a nice time to run you don't get people asking directions and being a village the roads are quiet so I don't have run with an ear out for traffic

wow, that's excellent manofkent. I have been going for my runs at 5am. It was warm this morning. I haven't tried an after work one yet. Not sure I would be fit for much.

I did the first 4 weeks in the evening and one particular evening it was so humid it felt like I was drawing air through a sack so I decided to go out early in the morning and i feel much better for it

There is a lot to be proud of there (for me it would be getting up at 4.50 as the only time I see that time of day is if I haven't gone to bed!) so well done. Sounds like you'll pretty much be running that 5k in 30 minutes (or very close to it) which is great!

Thanks it caught me out some what as I was just concentrating on the 25 minutes and being a new route was a bit of an unknown

We will have to see if it was a fluke and a result of having two days rest so bring on Wednesday to find out
