I did not think I would make it through Day One for months if ever. If you would like to see just one of the many "omg, I cannot believe it - I am now a Real Runner!!!" accounts and how seemingly totally unlikely that would ever happen feel free to read my previous posts and those of others here. 😉

Most definitely - listen to Laura, take it slow , keep posting and using this forum ( it's the secret weapon that will get you through the tough times!) and you will get there! Well done on starting this life changing program!👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

Well done for starting Mimoblade...

Yes it is possible to get to week 9. It may take you longer than 9 weeks which is fine and perfectly acceptable. Follow the plan, one run at a time, take your rest days, stretch...and notch up your successes..😊 its addictive.. oh and the best thing you can do for yourself..

Good luck and let us know how you get on...

Hi Mimoblade, yes you definately can, take it slowly then slower still. Trust in Laura and the plan they wont let you down and believe in yourself. There is lots of excellent advice on this forum all from people LIKE YOU, we all started with the same fears and doubts. You have jumped the biggest hurdle by starting the program, no,it won't all be easy but kick any gremlins (doubts) into touch as soon as they surface and just believe. You are will be amazed at what your body can do. I graduated last week and it is one of the best decisions I've ever made to start running. So, keep on posting and I look forward to giving you a big whoope!! when you graduate. Good luck.

p.s By the way this running lark is soooo addictive. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!

Hi Mimoblade, I am on week 3, best advice I got was to slow down and take it easy. Yes you can do it, good luck.

You have got to keep going! I found the first run killing, but the second is much easier, just think about how smug you an feel when you finish, guaranteed to improve your day!

Yes you will! This programme is simply brilliant and you will be a runner before you know it. Go slow, stretch, take your rest days, listen to Laura and you'll be a runner before you know it.

This forum is absolutely brilliant and the people on here are fantastic, inspirational and full of encouragement. Do post if you feel you need some advice, support or just to let us know you're planning to run later - once you write it down you'll feel obliged to stick to it!

This is the best decision you'll ever make, so do stick with it! :)

See all these comments? They're all true! I am just about to start week 7 (it's taken me 10 weeks). Every time I hit a blockage, the fantastic people on here talked me through. At first I thought the advice was only for people who could run (not me) but all the advice is spot on and soon you will start believing you can do it, because YOU DEFINITELY CAN :) The best bit of advice for me was 'slow down'. I didn't believe I could go any slower but I could! You will get there, there is an army on here willing you on.

Just go for it. You already know you can do it and once that first week is out of the way, you'll be so pleased with yourself xx
