Hi,

I have just completed week one and for me a good music playlist is essential. Ohh ... and don’t look ahead in the program - it will look unachievable (but we can do this)

Welcome.

Best decision of your life.👍

Mentors and Administrarors will be along shortly. Read all FAQ Posts, top tips , everything when you have time from this amazingly supportive forum.🌟👏👏

No fear only enjoy and belief in you.🤔

Trust the programme it is tried and tested.👍

One training run one by one, running step by step, slow and steady to get the extra oxygen you need to run.No thinking about breathing , just do it. Everything simple at the beginning , stuff you can add later.🤔

Enjoy, it is good to see you here.🌟👏👏🏃‍♀️

Hi

Welcome! i have completed the first two runs so far...my advice is to go out and do it...don't think about it. You will feel amazing afterwards! I spent a couple of days thinking about how i would do it, and would i be ok and at the end of the day you just have to take the leap and go for it. The hardest part of run 1 is getting out the door in the first place!

I agree with plumly71 a good playlist is essential

Good luck with run1 and let us know how you get on :-)

Hi Elaine and welcome to the c25k forum. Lannodatruffe has given you the link to lots of information about starting the plan, which includes what to wear and where to run...

You can trust the plan it really works, and each session builds you up for the next...

Take the run intervals nice and steady, you will really enjoy the satisfaction and confidence you feel after each session. Always take a rest day between sessions and do some gentle stretches after your warm down walk while your muscles are still warm.

Lots of runners on this forum at different stages, some just starting like you, that you can compare notes with. We love to hear how you are doing and will be able to offer advice and encouragement as you work through the plan.

Good luck with Wk1😊x

Just trust the programme, that's the biggest thing. When they say take it easy, take it easy. Don't make any judgements about what they are asking you to do before you try it.

Also there's a tip early on in one of the runs about keeping your head from bobbing up and down as that wastes energy...I feel they could have repeated that a bit. When you stop doing it it's like getting a little secret push that helps you along.
