I was the same. Didn't tell anyone other than the wife until I got to about week5. Stick to the course and it's entirely possible. The hard part was starting in the first place. Well done.

Welcome and well done you!

I didn't even tell my hubby until the second week (he was on an 6am shift so I sneaked out after he'd left for work). I wore all black and ran round the edge of the local playing field just as it was getting light (this was in February).

Amazingly I now tell anyone who will listen, wear bright clothes and happily run anywhere!

It won't be long before you're telling the world too but in the meantime we're all here for you.

Good luck and happy running!

We are like ninjas us C25K runners, no one sees us, no one needs to know we exist until we choose to divulge the superhero status...

Yep, I've hardly told anyone! Or I mentioned it but then haven't since week 2. My yoga class (the only exercise I have done for years) has a lot of super fit and active people, I feel like the odd one out when they talk about their triathlons and climbing expeditions, but I'm proud to have started this and so should you be! Keep posting here 😁

How have you found the C25K has impacted on your yoga? I also do yoga but today started W1D1

ooh, good question. Without doubt it's improving my general fitness - I do Vinyasa flow and there's a lot of movement, we get quite sweaty! So I think this will help me push myself in yoga just generally.

Otherwise I'm not sure, I think it'll be more the other way round with yoga helping me to stretch and improve my core strength, which I think will improve running, protect against injury (touch wood) etc. Generally, yoga helped me not hate exercise (I *hated* PE at school, doubt I would have started c25K before I had a couple years yoga under my belt). Also, the aches I got when I started yoga were the same "building up your fitness" aches that then came back in my legs when I started this, so apart from being a tiny bit worried about my knees I was also fine with the aches. Yoga probably also helps with breathing, but I'm not very conscious of it when running.

We've had a summer break from yoga which started when I was still on week 2/3 so it'll be interesting to see how I feel when we get back. Particularly intrigued about my hamstrings as they have always been short/tight, restricting all my forward bends - wonder whether the extra stretching and attention I give them after running will change that or whether they will get even tighter!

... you'll also tell from my answer that I haven't done any yoga at home without the class to go to >_< . Discipline and routine are not my strong points! So that's why the c25K plan is so good for me. Maybe it'll help me start doing yoga at home...

Same here. I told no-one, I hid out in the woods in my never before worn Lycra tights😫

The programme is fab! Enjoy it. Go really slowly and you'll be great

The closest I have to a "significant other" first laughed uproariously and then was very hard to convince that I had tarted running :)
