The highs and the lows....

Last Saturday I completed W9R3....proud is an understatement

Monday evening I did another W9 run, having decided to consolidate with repeating these until the end of the summer. I ran to fat club and finally the sad step (scales) gave me a lower number ☺️

Yesterday morning I got out of bed and something deep in my butt went twang, I now can hardly walk πŸ˜ͺ

One Physio appt later and no running for me for a while, I have pulled a ligament near my sacroiliac joint. I never thought I would be so upset at not being able to run.....I was in tears......and to add insult to injury my new running gear turned up tonight.....

GUTTED 😭

Oh Helen, that must be so disappointing, what a blow for you :-(

Did the physio give you any indication on how you long it will be before you can get back out there ?

I wish you a speedy recovery and hope all is well soon xxx

If it is the ligament then 6+ weeks (omg...even typing that is bad)....if not then 2-3....I am signed up for a charity run at the end of July so I am praying it's the latter.

The only thing that has amused me is that it feels like I am wearing an ice nappy when I put the ice pack on πŸ˜‚

Poor you! Its sooo frustrating to be unable to run. I have just spent five days with a chest infection and found the worst bit wasn't struggling to breathe (I am also asthmatic) but not being able to run!! Take care and take the time you need to heal and you'll be back out there before you know it. Good luck πŸ‘

Get well soon! And look on the brightside, imagine how much worse it would be if that happened BEFORE W9R3!
