Week 1

So me and my friend decided to give the couch to 5k another (5th go). It seems to have become an annual summer ritual with us. Have never made it past week three before. However, we decided to go start slow this time round. So although it's week two, we are still following the week 1 schedule. Im surprised that I have lasted the workout without much hassle this time round. Muscle memory must be a true thing!

Slow and steady wins the race! I hope you both get bitten by the running bug this time :-).

5th time lucky... do go as slowly as you can, its all about success and one run at a time. Good luck 😊

C25k really does work and can turn you both into runners, if that is what you want, but the motivation has to come from you. The health and well-being benefits that can come simply from running three times a week are huge and life changing and I would urge you to persevere and make running an almost daily, as opposed to annual, habit. If you post your progress (and potential slippage) on this forum on a regular basis, then we can provide the boot up the nether regions to keep you on task.

You can do this and it is worth the effort.
