I've been wondering what next...a few days off to allow my ankle to settle down. I'm frustrated with it, but I think I'd better be careful with it. Any advice on dodgy ankles???

Hi I had stiffness in my left ankle on the bone without really knowing why it happened. It happened after i've been on the couch for an extended time or first thing in the morning after I've run the evening before. It started when I was coming up to a half I was signed up for abroad so I minded it very carefully. I strapped it occasionally for extra support. I also looked up how to put on Kinesiology tape on it as another option? I also put deep heat on it going to bed. I had my gait re analysed I was neutral on the good ankle and heavily over pronating on the bad one. I try to strike on the edge of my mid foot in the hope that this will help with the pronation!?!? I wasnt bad with with it so I got through the race and was thrilled with my time. If I could have afforded it I would have went to see a physio and when I up my distance past the half marathon I will go to a physio. Hope this is of some help. Happy running
