And yeah, it felt awesome. Towards the end I could feel the strength in my legs fading, but to be honest, the whole run was 'easier' than my previous couple of runs. I wonder if I wasn't leaving enough time in-between runs/going at it too hard and the unintentional week(s) off have actually done me some good?
Anyway, resuming my 5K every other day plan, taking into account recovery time.

Wonderful news! My guess is that it was both the relaxed attitude to cadence and the longer rest period that made it easier. Anyway, good to see you back.
The run looked nice and steadily paced, hr looks good too, well done
There's no doubt a lot of us have graduated too hard and fast. And then you mention every other day runs??!? My mojo is currently AWOL. Only did 2 runs last week and have found excuses so far this week
Just need to find a way to get the head round 'just get out there and enjoy it'.
Keep steady, consider your own words about recovery days, need to keep off the IC now.
I too find myself in vicious circles of "down because I need to run, not running because I am down" and you know the only way to break that cycle... ;-).
Good luck, I am rooting for you! Why not join me on tomorrow night's 5K?
If I can't fit a daytime one in I will definitely be out there with you tomorrow night
Wanted to go last night, was planning about 8.30pm, but I was tired. Shut my eyes on the sofa at about 7.30pm for a wee granny nap- and got woken up at 10.30pm by hubby who had considered that I obviously needed the sleep more.
Life has taken over today BUT I am needing to get out there for my head.
Could also do with a dartboard and a photo of my sons respiratory consultant!!
Maybe I should attach photos to the bottom of my trainers!!
