How times have changed....

I ran on Friday, nice steady paced 30 mins. It is slowly getting easier. But that is not the point of this post...

Yesterday I was sat on the sofa with my hubby watching Albania verses Switzerland thinking ....this is pointless. So I contemplated what I would usually do and thought about a sneaky afternoon snooze when the idea of a run came to me. I thought that was a much better use of my time so popped off to the gym for a easy 20 mins. Not to make it too easy though I programme the treadmill for a foothills run programme with inclines up to 3%. Following that with a 2o mins swim and treating myself to a steam room afterwards what a better use of my time that was.

I even didn't feel guilty about the curry and glass of rose for tea.

The up shot of this is I had the best nights sleep I have had in 2 years (I rarely sleep longer than 5 hours) a whole 7 hours and was only awake in the night for 13 mins as opposed to the usual 1 hour 30 mins !

Enough rambling, what I am really trying to say is I love running and I love the changes I am seeing in me, health and well being wise! Thank you c25k 😆

Hear hear..to the change for the better..really is a begining of lots more healthy changes and a whole round sense of wellbeing :)

Well said- I started C25k just to generally get fitter and lose a bit of weight.

Both of those have happened, but I've been amazed at the unexpected side effects.

I also sleep better, have more confidence, have better posture, eat smaller portions, drink less alcohol, have lots more energy, and I really enjoy the buzz I get after a run.

C25k really has changed me.

Not sure it can stop me watching the Euro's, though. :)

I was an insomniac but I take a magic pill every night before bed that stops me waking up at 3am or if I do I can go back to sleep. I have made lots of changes to my life, this running malarkey being one of them but I dare not stop taking that little pill every night. I wonder if it's time now to try and stop taking it?

Oh @plop I wish I had that " magic pill " I always wake up around that time and then it takes me ages to get back to sleep :-(
