So on Saturday it was Week 6 run 3 and that dreaded 25 minutes run πŸ₯΅. I decided to change my technique after reading zillions (slight exaggeration) πŸ™ƒ on Pinterest. I slowed it down and relaxed my shoulders πŸ‘πŸ». I wanted to carry on running πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ. So pushed on until I did 5 K πŸ‘πŸ€©πŸ˜ƒ

Although our bodies can do more than is asked of them please stick to the plan and don't push yourself for now. You could end up with an injury that could put you out of running for a long time. Good luck

First off, congratulations on hitting 5k, it's amazing when we realise what we can actually achieve.

Be careful though, pushing too far too fast can put you at risk of injury, when I first did C25K in 2017 I added the 2 extra minutes at the end of week 8 I think it was to make it 30 minutes but you almost doubled your running time. Please be careful.

Well done though ;)

Well done on your 5k.

The plan is structured as it is to avoid injury........we can all do more than our bodies are conditioned to do, but not without considerably increased injury risk.

Experienced runners only increase their weekly training load by employing the 10% rule..........you have exceeded that.

Take care.

Thank you I have taken on board what everyone has said and suggested.

I will step it back and stick with the plan.

I have to say it was actually the first time I enjoyed running. Was about to give up on it!

Hang on to that, but keep the progress slow and steady. You will soon be back up to 5k as a regular distance.
