Lol I've just posted a post very similar as I was told it was the law too!! Your replies seem to be confirming that.

Nice shoes, I'm laughing typing that as I think they're the exact same as mine but mine are a different colour. At least you haven't done the same as me and asked how to lace them 🙈 But seemingly there's certain ways of doing it.

Now they are things of great beauty! May you be fleet of foot and feel as though you walk on clouds in them! Am actually really jealous as my ASIC Kayanos need replacing and I cannot afford new ones this month. Am running with a hole in the toe of mine now!!😮 They have served me well though.
