I'm going off the beaten track with these. Next adventure planned is the coastal trail series run in Northumbria. So excited to try something new.

They are innov8 trail roc 255 I think. I have these in a 6.5 but on longer than 5k runs they didn't seem to be long enough (feet must swell) so these are a 7. Can't wait to get these bad boys dirty....😉

Me too, my husband bought me some trail shoes - feel like a running princess. I am on week 7 and want to go off-roaming, really really excited about this. Once I graduate, want to work on my distance but love the great outdoors, my dream to trail run (and I am 51 and was a non runner 7 weeks ago)! LOL

Is this the one at the end of Feb? Which distance are you going for? I am plannng on entering the 10k and depending on how I progress maybe consider upgrading to HM nearer the time.

That's the one, and I was thinking of doing the same depending on how winter training goes- how exciting- would be nice to meet up with a fellow c25ker!! Xx

Great - I keep looking at it and thinking how nice it would be on a sunny day! Keep me posted on your plans.

I think I may just be brave and register for the HM....this seems to be filling up faster than the 10k and I don't know whether one can upgrade if it's full, so may just go for it and walk parts of the second half if it ends up getting too much.

Go for it. Personally I'm just not sure I'd get enough training in over the winter. I'd rather run a solid 10k I think than rush into a half with little training and panic all through Christmas. I'm aiming for the Belfast half anyway next year. I don't even know if I COULD run a whole 22k ...it's a long way. I'm looking forward to the trail though..should be stunning views. Must book the flights and somewhere near to the run. let me know what you do!

You are over in Belfast then? I wasn't sure wether the belfast colour run was a holiday trip or local. Northumberland is relatively convenient for me, as I have in-laws in Durham. So it will be a drive up north on the friday, then an earlyish start on the Saturday morning. I think it is partly the run route that makes me want to go for HM - I'll let you know in due course.
