Another hello from Bulgaria

Hello everyone,

I'm Yan, Bulgarianlily's husband and have just completed w6r1 which surprisingly I found more tricky than the dreaded w5r3 which I hadn't looked forward to at all but only had a few aches and pains with in the final 5 minutes. I think I started a bit too fast this time as was over confident from doing the 20 minutes without a break and started to feel it about half way through the middle 8 minute run. Really seeing the results though as I've lost about 20 pounds in weight since starting the program and the asthma I usually suffer from has seemed to be less of a problem as I've progressed from about the end of week 2. Running in our local park is good except when they are holding special events and you have to dodge folk groups and candyfloss vendors. Lily suggested I come on the forum for support as she's flying to the UK later this week for a work contract and to take part in a park run before she comes back.

Hi, I just did w6r2 last night but found w6r1 harder than the 20 minute run before the same as you did. You'll be pleased to know that r2 was easier than r1! Welcome to the forum 😀

This is my lovely husband who buys me coffee after the run. Shame I won't be here for his graduation run.

Yep, w6 r1 is a tricky one, catches lots of people out.

Another running couple - brilliant! Lilly will have to buy you more than coffee when she gets back! How can she miss your graduation run😈

Well done! I also run with my wife who's just graduated.

Very good weight loss on the programme that, most only loose a small amount if any.

It varies so much on how one feels on the runs, a lot of it is mental attitude, just remember, when you feel something nagging in the mind , try and disregard those gremlin thoughts, and just back off the pace a tad..😊

Hi Yan, you are not alone in struggling with week6 - a very common experience!

Sounds like you are doing really well despite obstacles. That park looks a great place to run.
