Very well done! I'm glad we persuaded you to go. Bet you feel better for having finally taken the first step - which is the hardest. Now go and tell Gareth!

Congratulations. Lovely feeling isn't? Not had gait analysis but impressed with my new running shoes which helped with my high arch (was news to me) but obviously helped. Think you will have some aches and pains anyway as you adjust. Keep going 👍🏻

Well done ! Good on ya !

Don't forget your stretches and take a couple of rest days to see if your shins settle down a bit xxx

Well done for taking the plunge. The first of many runs - especially since you will probably become 'hooked', it is rather addictive this running thing! Best of luck.

Brilliant well done ☺ take care of your legs , make sure you stretch after each run, it is good to get into a good routine, I am sure it all feels very strange but stick with it 😊

Here's the link for stretches - nhs.uk/Livewell/c25k/Pages/...

It will also take awhile for your body to adjust and get used to running, so niggles and twinges are to be expected but pain is different . Ensure you take the rest day or days also to give your body time to recover and repair

Having the right running shoes for you is important also and worth looking into also. I may hold off on those to see if things improve.

Well done! Don't forget to stretch out well afterwards and yep, new trainers could make a big difference. Also, take a couple of rest days now, if you need it. Good luck with your next run. 🙂
