Wish me luck...

...W5R3 tomorrow morning! Nervous doesn't begin to cover it. On one level I know I'm physically capable and that the block is a mental one really which I will just have to push through, but on another level...20 whole minutes? Without stopping? REALLY?!

Got my ABBA album all prepped, I'm going to need to bring out the musical big guns to keep me going through this one!

Can imagine it nerve wracking, already you giving good ideas to others. I am going to get some standby music ready as I'm not sure I can stand all of Laura's choices! Hope it's not as windy with you as it is here. Good luck

I know it's been said before but it really is all in the mind. I never ever thought I could do it but here I am at 58 years young running over 5 kms. It was an amazing feeling doing that first 20 minutes! Good luck to you 😄👍🏻

you are right the block is in your head not your legs or lungs

So....I think I did it?

Had my first C25K technology fail - I'd been really good at not checking my phone to see how long I'd been going, but then did so near where I thought the end of the run would be. My Nike running app said I'd been going for 24 minutes, which would be 5 minutes warm up and then 19 minute run; however the C25K app (I use zen labs rather than the podcast) said I had 8.5 minutes of the run to go! I know that route well and there's no WAY I could have got as far as I did in only 16 minutes including the warm up, so I'm inclined to believe the Nike app which has generally proven more reliable - I ran for another couple of minutes after that so I was definitely over 20 mins running - but it meant I felt a bit disappointed because I didn't manage to run to the end of the C25K app running section even though I think that was actually closer to 25 minutes running than 20... :(
