๐Ÿ˜ฑ The Shorts ran for 5K... And they took me with them๐Ÿ˜Š

Hi All,

Well I decided to use the shorts again and no knee support ๐Ÿ˜ฑ And so off we went on the normal 5 minute warm up only now I have to use a stopwatch as no Laura ๐Ÿ˜ข Well got to Tesco's and started the run and almost immediately the usual obstacles started to appear a Woman with two small Children looking at something in a hedge who as I approached moved on and another Woman pushing a buggy stopped to give way to me.... Things had started well ๐Ÿค—

As I glanced down as I new I had come to the point where Laura used to come on and say 'OK that's 5 minutes and You should be settled into a steady pace' and yep just on 5 minutes and miss that bit of the C25K App but I just have a virtual Laura running with me... As I started the climb up the hill I realised that now I had done 10 minutes and no cramps or knee problems the Pixie Dust was really working ๐Ÿ˜‚ I changed the route to now make it a full 5K run and it continues up the hill so a bigger challenge.

As I passed the only bit I run 'off road' I was feeling good and then started to dodge the brambles and overhanging rambling rose bushes and thought 'Are these bushes that are beyond the property wall the responsibility of the house owner or the council? As I cannot believe how many there are on these roads! It makes walking and running a constant problem... I glanced down and the watch was showing 28 minutes I picked the pace up again and when I finally got to Tesco's again it was 30 minutes so the warm down started...

As I was walking the 5K was announced and so I glanced at my watch and 34 minutes 2 seconds so another PB and getting closer to the 5K in 30 minutes ๐Ÿ‘ So maybe by the end no of next week I will be within 30 minutes and hopefully building on the times to come down... So I hope everyone has a Good Weekend and if You are running the weather is not to bad for You... ๐Ÿ˜‰

  • well done you, im guessing the brambles took your mind off the running for a bit then :)

  • Doing brilliantly Papa... so glad you are still enjoying it all? Is your toe? better now?

    The shorts are clearly working their magic... I am still in my funky leggings, although on Friday, I ditched my running jacket... but kept my hat on... still chilly first thing, even with sunshine...:)

    When you reach 5K in 30 mins.. what will you aim for, or will you, like me, see what evolves? :)

    Toe only hurts when I hit it on something or press in the corner... Awaiting an appointment with a podiatrist for them to poke around ๐Ÿ˜‚ As for the running Love it and so will keep going.... After 5K in 30 minutes I don't know ๐Ÿค” I will not do more distance just get the pace up like you. Yes You keep those bright ๐Ÿ˜Ž Leggings on in the Mornings it's to cold first thing to run in shorts I have seen some Young Ladies running in shorts and thought ๐Ÿ˜ฑ Oh no not in this Weather.... Have you started collecting for the Big event? I know I started as soon as I knew.... And I even got a Moses basket into My case when I flew down to supprise My Princess ๐Ÿ‘ธ just before she had the Little Princess ๐Ÿ‘ธ And I only took about 5 shirts and a pair of shorts the rest of the case had the Moses basket and clothes for Miss in it...
