Getting back?

I haven't posted for a while here as I have been a busy girl! I am keen to get back into running regularly but not sure how I should approach this? Should I go back to week 1 or as I have ran before could I skip some?

Has anyone got a similar experience they could share with me how you got on?

Thankyou kindly

Leggy

I would do one run in week 1 and if that was easy peasy move on to week 2. Carry on till you reach a level that challenges you and take it from there.

Thank you, yes it was easy peasy so should I do do week 2 on Sunday?

It depends on many factors like how long you were out for, at what stage were you (did you complete the programme or have you been running for years?), your age, general fitness levels since not running, etc etc.

Maybe you could give us more information and then we can give you more specific advice.

I only completed it last year and I've not run at all since October. Although I like to think I and quite fit. I'm 34 in June does it get harder as you get older?

You're young then! So your return to fitness will generally be quicker than someone much older. I think JaySeeSkinny 's advice is spot on given you've found the first run easy. Go onto W2R1 next and carry on and see how you feel. If you find these first couple of runs too easy then try a continuous run of 10 minutes and increase by 5 minutes. But, you'll know your body best and know when to carry on or pull back. Well done in starting again!

Why not try week 1 and see how it goes, you can always jump ahead or carry on, be a great way to build your confidence quickly 😊

Try the first run of week 1, if it's easy peasy go on to week 2 and so on until you find a level that challenges you. Go from there. Good luck and well done for getting back into it!
