Week 9 Run 1 tougher

Did the 30 minutes but the last 10 were tough! Left leg niggling at me after the half-way mark. Didn't manage to trot on up to 5 k as I hoped just 3.68 but it's a step nearer graduation so all's well :) Good luck to all on week 9 and indeed all on the C25k!

Well done Debs. 😊

You may need to take an extra rest day between these last runs.. you dont want an injury at this stage. xx

Thanks , yes I might do that... see how it feels on Tues, I really wanted to try 5k but knew it wasn't the right thing to do today :)

Well done - that's brilliant. I didn't get to my 5K until my first post-grad run. I wasn't aiming for it, I just just it really easy and kept running. Took 39 minutes, but it was a glorious feeling :-).

Now I just run 5Ks (just leaving for my third post-grad run now actually).

I read an article that said 'if you aim for X minutes you will need to stop at X-1 minutes', so why not just run slowly and see how far you end up?

Brilliant work Debs - keep going!

Thank you :)  will try that next run. My first km is always the fastest I can't seem to slow that one down must keep the 5k in my head all the way round!

I have just finished my third 5K (woot!). I am geek-inclined and I found a watch that gives you an average lap pace really useful..

Congrats! I've got Map My Run (free version) at the mo but want an app that shows me the inclines, average pace, fastest and so on wondering if the full version will do that. I'll have a look when I've graduated ..I might even try "Zombies Run" haha but I think they'd get me at my current pace!

Well done ☺ yes look after those niggles and your self , the distance doesn't matter , you are just 2 steps away from graduating 😊you can do it !

Thank you :) yep even though I know the Race for Life is only 6 weeks away and I'm a bit worried about the distance it's the 30 mins first and I know I can do 33! So will try a slower run next and who knows where I'll end up if I can go for longer :)

I am sure you will do just fine, just think back to week 1 and see how far you come already 😊
