Hunting for the right running shoe again

I can't find my Brooks Summon 4 shoe anywhere in my size so I'm spending ages trying to figure out which new shoe is best for me (neutral, cushioned, mid foot strike).  Has anyone found a good replacement for the Summon 4?

I can't help I'm afraid but your title did make me giggle.

I read it as in you had the left shoe but couldn't find its partner😆😆

I had this problem when I couldn't find any Saucony Echelon as they'd stopped doing them. I just did lots of research to work out what they'd replaced it with. Read the details and compare;  heel drop, sole shape, cushioning level etc. I bought the Saucony Ride and they were spot on.

Good luck

Brooks have a shoe finder on their website. Have you given that a whirl?  It asks you what shoe you're using now, as a starting point. You could take it from there and see what they come up with.

I do the bulk of my training runs in Brooks Glycerine, which is a cushioned neutral shoe.

I like the Brooks Ghost which is a neutral cushioned shoe. They seem to bring out a new one each year.

I'm also a fan of neutral, low drop, fairly lightweight shoes and have got on well with the Brooks Pure Flow and the Asics 22-DFA. Think I will probably get another pair of the Asics when my current ones come to the end of their life.
