Neither snow, nor rain, nor heat...a suitable snippet?

So many posts, about running in the weird weather at the moment. I am just watching the hail and sleet, whilst waiting for the home-made veggie soup to come to a simmer... just the thing for a lovely Spring day :)

Celtprof  has graduated today in great sunshine, Tilly48   has had a sun- run too, pinklady2499  , has had a glorious run, nippy but sunny, barmybint   graduated today too; whilst others have today, braved, sleet, snow, hail and rain! Realfoodieclub   posted a weather warning, event post, on Bridge to 10K, too..intended for runners..

So...

I thought I would have a quick peruse... and found these snippets. one serious-ish and one less so.

runbritain.com/training/run...

blog.theclymb.com/out-there...

The comment at the end of the first article.. is quite sobering..especially at my age! :)

•If you are running on your own you should carry some form of ID so that you can be identified if anything untoward does happen to you...

So...motto being...

" If you wait for perfect conditions...you will never get anything done." ( Or 'run' in our case)!

we had lovely sun this morning although snow still on both the low hills and the high ones, very odd seeing oil seed rape deciding to flower with snow on the verges and in the background!

Beautiful image.. I love it when the Rape comes out.. the swathes of yellow everywhere.. with the snow, it must have been stunning! :)

For those of you using iPhones, remember you can put medical info and emergency contacts into the phone that can be accessed without needing your passcode.

Nice links Oldfloss. The second one reminded me of one of my wettest ever runs, when the rain just came down heavier and heavier as I ran (it was a 10k too). Best thing about it was absolute total solitude! Didn't see a soul! I frequently only see one or two dog walkers but on this day NO ONE! And I was running for over an hour! ...That does make me think about ID however...think one of my sons has one of those towelling wristband things with a small zip in it.🙄

They were interesting and the posts today... just show the range of weather phenomena just here in the UK..

As you say, the wet stuff keeps everyone else away and the cold stuff too! :)

ID.. yes.. I never thought of that..until now ! Ully runner made a good point about it too! :)

Certainly is.⛄

That's a good tip, it hadn't occurred to me to carry any ID. I'm going to stick one of the parkrun barcodes in my pocket from now on, thank you x
