Week 8 Run 1

Hurrah was out just before 5am this morning - despite rain & wind I ran the 28 minutes :)

At one point felt very like stopping but the thought of coming & sharing that I managed the run with you lovely people kept me going (& slowing down a bit!)

Happy running x

  • Well done - not an easy time to run or easy conditions either. A refreshing shower is one thing, a freezing, wet, windy morning is another!

Not long to go now - you'll fly through the remaining runs!

    Take care :) xx

  • Thanks am loving it at the moment but snow maybe a deal breaker!

  • Wow ! Well done, now that is what I call dedication and commitment , fab stuff ! I love your positive attitude xxx

  • Thank you I'm sure the running gives me the positivity :)

  • wow taht is impressive ,5am and out running yup you got the addiction :D well done on completing teh run :D 5 runs to go :D keep at it you will do it :D

  • Hadn't thought of it as a countdown yet thats exciting & a bit scary?!

I can only relish exercise in the morning when I get home at 7pm I don't think I could drag myself out again :(

  • enjoy teh remaining runs :D you should be very proud of what you are doing and what you are going to achhieve :D exciting.scary and bloomin marvelous :D

  • Blooming marvellous sounds a great description :D

  • I have run early morning just once in my short running career. It was hot and I couldn't sleep. Normally though I sleep like a log and nothing would induce me to leave my warm bed to run. But, you do what you have to, and if your work/home commitments mean you run early then you have to just crack on.

Winter will soon be over, as will Couch to 5k, and you can look forward to a spring filled with fresh running opportunities. Won't that be great!

We all still keep in touch on here, checking back on each other's progress - or sometimes lack of - so we'll still be here when you Graduate.

  • Thanks all. I'm a morning person & very lucky in that only need about 5-6 hours sleep. But I'm sure will be much easier in spring & summer in the light :D

Lovely that everyone stays on board and shares their experience and new exploits. Its such a fab & positive place (unlike lots of forums!)
