I did it!!!!! π So it was a wet Friday on the outside... Quite funny I was sitting on the sofa listening to the BBC weather as they said 'And we will get some rain later in the afternoon....' So looked out the window and some strange wet stuff was falling!! This cannot be the BBC has said we will not have any rain until this afternoon!! And then went onto the BBC Weather Website and put in my postcode and yes we would have cloud and then later about 3pm we would get rain.... Had no one from the BBC informed the rain Gods? So looked at my weather app and yep it said we would have rain all day!! Oh well I'm just filling in as the run went without much happening!! Onwards......
So it was here the final run in the program WK9R3 I cannot believe it's here!! But I put on my uniform and my trusty shoes and Laura was on and so off rain falling but this was MY run so do your worst!!π§ Rain on this run would not 'Stop Play!' As I left the house and started the warmup walk I had time to reflect on the 9 weeks when I started out WK1 with a 60 second run and then 90 seconds walk... 60 seconds!!!!π±π where were the paramedics? I will need oxygen at the end! And how I felt at the end π£ And then the next weeks when Laura would say 'You can feel how you are getting stronger and the stamina is building....' And thinking 'Laura are we talking about the same body? This one is not feeling anything more than pain!!! And the every time you say 'Your getting stronger' I check and NO! I'm not!' It brought a smile to my face then Laura as if hearing that broke in 'OK that's 5 Minutes it's time to start...' And so it began the final run...
Laura came on after 5 Minutes to say 'That's 5 Minutes...' And it took me back to 'I Ran The World' the fantastic support and I could almost see the Vitual line of all the Friends I have made on here cheering me on! I was almost running on a cloud and felt very good down the hill and up and this time I was feeling so good when Laura came on to say 'That's 10 Minutes....' I thought 'Let's carry on up the hill' π And so into new territory and I need this as trying to add on for a 5K so up I went and instead of puffing I was running fine and with every step I was getting faster and then it hit a stitch π± On no not now! But I did my breathing and pushed out my newly found stomach π Out and pushed on at a slightly slower pace...Β
Laura came on to say 'Your doing great and that's 15 Minutes....' And so I started slowly to build the speed and then Laura came on and 'That's 20 Minutes and Your doing great but You have another 10 minutes.....' I was running at a new pace and new when I got home and looked it would be a new PB and so pushed on then a Woman came towards me pushing a buggy and so I moved into the road and smiled as I passed with ease and thought of the early days when doing this would have involved every muscle stretching to its limit!! And then Laura with 'You have 5 minutes left....' So I did a 'U' turn and started back as I approached the 'Jolly Farmer' I thought of a celebration drink πΎ Β And then Laura came on to say 'That's it time to slow down...' Wow I had done it 30 Minutes running and then the slowish walk home...Β
I would like to Thank All MY New Friends who have encouraged and supported me through the program and given me a new buzz... Loved All Your posts and at times almost felt I was there... So the house was decorated (photo attached) to welcome me home π€ And I felt Great!!! So I Graduated good luck to all who are still doing the C25K and β Virtual High Five to all who have Graduated today and this week WE have done it!! BIG Yippee π€
