When I started C25K in January I grumbled long and hard about the cold weather and how cold I was and my running gear wasn't warm enough and having to walk in between runs caused me to then got cold again. Moan, groan, complain, grumble.
Well . . . now I'm too flipping hot. The sun is sizzling, I have sweat cascading off me like Niagara Falls and I think back to the cold days when running seemed so much easier when I had to run to keep warm. No, there's definitely no pleasing some peeps.
By the sea in the south east. I guess it's not the sun I'm really complaining about, it's the fact that we get such a variation in weather and temperature from one day to the next and sometimes feels like several seasons within one day.
I sweat even in winter! So this summer is going to be fun! But so what (as long as I don't dehydrate!). People are just going to see a red-faced, sweating runner!
Oh never mind other folks. They aren't actually looking at you. You just think they are
Yep, we do get changeable weather but never mind cos you can't do anything about it other than try and go out earlier in the day or later, when it's cooler. I think we are more attuned to our "weather eye" as runners than we ever were before. Keeping one eye on the rain and then dashing out between showers, that's us
