I felt a bit sluggish and heavy last night. I haven't had one of those massively energetic runs in quite a while now. I didn't have a hugely substantial meal for lunch, a salad at 2.00 and a cuppa soup at 4 doesn't really do much for a run at 6.30 - maybe that was it. Anyway, I've got to the point now where I see the intervals as more of an interruption than a welcome break. If I lose my rhythm it takes a lot to get it back again. I also don't like knowing how long I have left (I like a surprise when I look and there's only 3 minutes left!) I might just set a timer and turn Laura off.
I have had a bit of left calf pain, my ankle seems a bit twangy and has been for the last few runs now. My right leg is absolutely fine, I would be just perfect if my left leg felt like my right! After W6R3 I might have an extra couple of days rest to see if that helps but I want to get W6R3 out of the way first.
I think Im going to enjoy my next run, I have two days to psych myself up!

Well done Hanna on getting so far in. on the plus side this is your last week of intervals. from now on it is continual running! In fact your last run of wk 6 is also continual so you are done with intervals!!!
I found that up to week 6 was difficult and challenging, then once week 7 kicked in found the gradual increase fairly easy and enjoyable. A nice tail off to the end and a welcome reward for the hard work put in weeks 1-6. It is now a mind game, tell yourself that you can run the time needed, and it is after all only at most 3 minutes more than you have run before.
