W5R2 - getting nervous now!

I was a bit delayed doing this run but headed out today in between showers.  It was pretty windy so stuck to the park rather than risk the seafront, plus the town is full of tourists at the moment so thought the park would be a quieter option, which it was.  Anyway the run went ok, just felt lacking in energy a bit on the second run but completed it and wasn't particularly out of breath either.  I think I was rocking the lobster cheeks somewhat but I blame the wind for that!   Did the run in the afternoon instead of morning (usually do mornings on Sunday) and I think preferred it; don't think I'm a very good morning runner.

So now to run 3, the one that knocked me back in December.  Trying to think positive about it and not think about last time.  I have done a lot of running since then so I am hoping to smash it - in a slow and steady way, of course 😀

You will smash it :)

As you said, slow and steady.

You're determined to do it so being positive from the start really helps.

Enjoy a rest day or two then GO FOR IT :)

You'll do it and go on to do the rest. You've done a lot of running since December. You're ready for this!

Brilliant Lisa, well done! It sounds like you've made great progress recently. For W5R3, it sounds like an afternoon in the park is the perfect combination.

Putting in place all your learnings, I *know* you're to do it!

Good luck,

John
