W1R2 - nearly didn't do it, but so glad I did!

Only my 2nd ever run today, I've been putting it off all day! Came in from shopping and got changed before I had a chance to change my mind and off I went. I'm so glad I did! I know it's only 60 second runs with 90 second rests but feels like such a huge achievement for me just to be out there running (although with my snail's pace it's a bit of a stretch to call it running).

Really nice thing happened as well - I was out running along one of the streets local to me and a man passing me at a point where I was on a 90 second walk smiled and started making jokes about giving me a head start! For some strange reason felt really encouraged by this, as if I look like I should be doing this!

Honestly, it practically becomes an addiction! Well done and keep us all posted!

Well done, keep it up and good luck with the rest of the plan. Soon you'll be hooked like the rest of us! :)

Good for you, keep going! You'll be amazed at how well the programme works and you'll be graduating in no time. I started the programme in April last year and today I ran my first 10km!! I never ever thought I would be able to do that. I'm not a sporty person at all but the programme has really changed me for the better. Best of luck, keep us updated on progress!

The first couple runs are the toughest but you're building the routine.  Well done on getting out there.

Go you.. don't give into the gremlins who try to top you running. They are soooo lazy!

You have started.. so, remember, you may not be there yet, but you're closer than you were before! :)

Well done, It's never easy but just starting is the hardest. You can do this! It does get easier as you build up fitness and a routine. I took 2 weeks on each of the first 3 weeks of the program then on week 4 something clicked and I've managed 4 and 5 in 1 week. My advice is progress in your own time if you feel you need longer on any week stick there. You can do this! Look forward to following your progress :)

That's you getting the running bug. Trust me, you can do this. Well done in starting to climb your mountain.

Thanks for all of the support. I think you're all right, this could easily turn into an addiction for me if I can keep it going for another couple of weeks. I already found myself buying more running gear yesterday!

Don't put yourself down. We all started where you are, & snails still overtake me now. Be proud you are doing it & pushing yourself. You are doing more than those still sat on their couch doing nothing.

We are at a the same stage. I figure that if I am still moving, I am doing well😳. I don't see the walking as rest at all, ha ha. Keep,up the great work, I agree that it is hard to 'get out the door' this is why I have put off starting for so long. Looked at this programme 2 months ago! Good luck.
