It's done! After the disaster that was run 2, I went back to running into Rochester and it was bloody ace. Struggled for the beginning of the last 5 minute run but actually sped up at the end. It was my fastest split time too (not that I'm vaguely bothered as this only means I've progressed slightly from glacial speed). I'm fairly certain I could hear the "chariots of fire" theme in the distance
Instead of stopping for a cuppa, I walked into the next town, did some shopping and got the bus half way home and walked the rest. So, week 4 done and today's 10,000 steps in one fell swoop. All this before noon - I feel very virtuous.
Let's see what week 5 has in store...

So, for W5R1 on Monday, I'm going lycra'd up to the garage to drop my car in for MOT. The road there is reasonably flat and there is a park across the road. I am no longer staggering about under the cover of darkness - my lycra-encased lard has been seen in daylight and not yet caused any wailing or gnashing of teeth. What could possibly go wrong...
