W3 D3- Tonight

I'm not too intimidated about tonight's run as I've done it Monday and Wednesday, but I can't see to wrap my head around Week4! I struggle to do the 3 minute run.. HOW am I going to do 5 minute intervals?

I'm new at running. Before C25K I have never run for anything. I'm overweight, out of shape.. and finally doing something to better my life in this program. I guess I'm just looking for words of encouragement from anyone who has been in my exact situation before, and managed week 4.. and then the dreaded Week 5 Day 3 (20 minutes, are they INSANE?)

Don't worry you will be fine.

The programme is designed to build stamina so you can complete the following week.

Just make sure you run really slow and you will be fine.

I don't even want to look at week 5!

Good luck for week 4 :-)

I'm on week 4 at the moment and I find the longer runs help you find more of a rhythm. It's not easy, but you can definitely do it. Just go slowly!

I understand what you are saying, I start week 4 on Sunday and I see as a bigger challenge than starting week 1. Good luck and don't give up.

I know exactly what you mean. You will do it though. You won't believe it but you'll do it. The five minutes is hard but if you've done three you can do five. In a week the three minute runs will be easy for you, honestly.

I've just finished w4r3 I am overweight and unfit but I've completed them despite my own doubts. I'm worried about w5r3 but everyone says the program gets you ready so I'm just going to go for it and try not to dwell!! Good luck :)

That's helpful for me. I start week four at the weekend and am apprehensive!

HilaryC,  I just wanted to reach out to you. I hope week 4 is going well for you.  As this was my own original post, I wanted to let you know I'm now starting week 6!!  (AHHHHH) I made it through week4, and 5.. and I successfully completed the dreaded 20 minute run on Friday, and although I needed to really push to do it, I did it!  And you can too!  Good luck to you :)
