I ran the longest I have ever run with out stopping about 40 mins did about 6.5 k!

Maybe I could do a half marathon after all

Really! A half marathon is over 21k, maybe head for 10k first!

Definitely need to be able to do 10k first! I can run 10 but still glad my HM not until September - allow lots of time, I would aim for 10 around August, HM in new year LOL! Legs need time (so does the mind)!! Julie

As long as you build up distance slowly and run nice and steady, y not? I just kept doing 5ks and on a feeling great run kept going to 5.5k! Then did a 6,7,8, then 10! Just keep rest days going and check how your legs are on the run and after too. I do 2 X 5k and a long run day which works well for me.

I have a 10k event in June, Half Marathon September. Giving myself plenty of time to b ready!! Julie
