Due to a number of factors I've not run since mid January. A long story, but I'm now ready to start again. Previously I was running a slow 5k in about 40 mins. Thing is, having not run for so long where should I restart. I was thinking of going back to the podcasts but what week should I rejoin?

Where to re-start.
When I had an injury last year and was off for a few weeks I re-started at week 4. Today i went for my first run since mid-February, and just ran/walked however much I wanted with some great tunes. It felt great. Either will work
If you have been running 5ks and have just not run for a month, just start running again. You don't need to learn how to run from scratch again. If you can't run quite as far or as fast as before, stop when you can't run any further and build up from there. You won't have forgotten how to do it.
If I were you, I would start with a 20 minute slow and steady run. Then you could repeat this twice more and the following week, increase the run time to say 25 and then the following week 30 minutes.
It would depend on how your legs feel on the run itself and do they recover well. You can always repeat a run time again if it is very difficult. Let us know how it goes. Julie
I'm with Rignold, just set out for your usual run, just take it gently and see what happens. Too many people post here astonished at how much faster they've gone after a break to be worth holding yourself back artificially.
I have found that week five works, if it's too much then go back a week
