Was really Brass Monkees this morning on Parkrun, but the sun was shining on us with just a few spots of rain toward the end of the run, so was good, and to cap it all I got a PB of 3m 20s over my last PB! as did the 2 friends I was with, so improving all the time even with a recently dicky foot, which felt fine..😊

Nice one Dave,

That's a fair chunk to take off your pb.

Yes I did park run this morning and it was freezing! Missed the rain/snow thankfully. I was 2 seconds slower today but took my time as I am getting over a cold!πŸ˜’. Is there anything you did differently to knock that staggering amount of time off? I would like to get below 30 mins eventually but wondering if it's just a case of keep going and I will get fitter or if there is anything that will help? Am loving parkrun though just for the fun of it 😊

No, not really, just running 5-7km 2-3 times a week, actually this week have had some pain in the ball of the foot so backed off slightly, being aware that the foot may play up on run, but it's been OK, actually discomfort comes on when I restup, then walk about..

So, give it time and you should improve, just keep on running, your doing great!

Btw farawaytree74 are you aged 74? Excuse me for asking but if so then you are doing marvelously well!πŸ˜‰

Heehee no I'm not 74 although I feel like it sometimes! I am the big 50 this year. 74 is for 1974, when I would have read my favourite book of the time The Magic Faraway Tree!
